GUIDELINES
- September 28 - Applications and fees must be received.
- October 4-11 - Decorate assigned pole.
- October 12 - 14 - Judging for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place is scheduled for the morning.
- October 31 - Winners will be announced at Trick or Treat on Main Street.
- November 3 - All Scarecrows must be removed by 5 p.m.
- Scarecrows must be decorated in keeping with the Theme “Alachua’s Agricultural Roots.”
- Signage for your Scarecrow will be provided to you by the Alachua Chamber of Commerce and will include your Pole number and the information YOU provided on your application form.
- Scarecrow must be secured to pole with strapping – NO TAPE
- Scarecrows must not be encroached on the walkways or streets.
- Please use weather resistant materials that are not valuable.
- Please visit your Scarecrow at least once a week to freshen and repair
- Please do not use unsafe materials and/or installation techniques.
